I am a proud daughter!

My entire immediate family came into town this past weekend. My father was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame at the small Christian college that he attended. My dad is a wonderful father, husband, and preacher but he was also a very good basketball player in his day. It was great to hear his former coach and some of his friends speak so highly of him. I think the thing that brought the tears to my eyes was not his basketball accomplishments, but how he spoke of the most important thing that happened while he attended that college. My father was apparently a wild Catholic boy, but God in his wonderful grace chose to save him and call him into the ministry. I have always looked up to and admired my dad but it never ceases to amaze me how my respect and appreciation for him continues to grow year after year. I am a proud daughter and I am a truly blessed one to have such a wonderful Dad!
