A Thankful Heart....

'In everything, by prayer and petition, and with THANKSGIVING let your requests be made to known to God'
Philippians 4:6
And in my New Living Translation it says....' Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for ALL that he has done.

Yesterday, my post was not exactly a positive one. I was struggling ( still am), but it was an honest expression of my feelings. I was reminded today though, that the selling of my house is just one tiny area in my life that has not been answered yet. For some reason, it looms so large and invades so much of my time and thoughts, yet there are so many other blessings that I have to be thankful for. One particular area, that I will not go into detail, has opened my eyes this morning to see how incredibly blessed we are. I literally sat here this morning saying to the Lord that I do not deserve his goodness, as I am complaining about such minor circumstances. Do I still want my house to sell? Yes, of course I do, but I am testifying today on my blog that I am very grateful for so many other things that have happened. God is faithful and he does have my life in his hands. I am humbled this morning!

*** On a fun note ( and yet another thing I am praising God for), I get to go away this afternoon for a little weekend of scrapbooking. To say that I am excited, would be an understatement. I get TWO kid free nights because even when I return tomorrow evening, my sweet MIL is keeping my children until Sunday! So, I have big goals for myself and I am hopeful. I am so behind on my scrapbooks, but these sort of weekends always motivate me and help me to get caught up. Now you know what I will be doing with my time for the next few days. I am looking forward to having a weekend with no one but myself to take care of. I hope that everyone else has a great one as well!
