Mother-Daughter Tea Party

The girls and I went to a High Tea about two weeks ago. It was the first annual tea party here in our city and we had a fabulous time. I am a bit old-fashioned, so this was right up my alley!

Wearing our pretty dresses...did you know that bold prints are in this season? The twins did not believe me! ;)

My neighbor and her daughters and the girls and me! (hubs doesn't know how to take a picture....my house looks slanted ;) )

Meredith, Abby G., Madeline C., & Madeline

The tea party was so girly and elegant. We sat at beautiful tables and had our own personal waiter. The girls got to get their picture taken with Miss Mississippi ( on my neighbors camera) and she spoke a very Godly message. We had about 3 different kinds of tea and 3 courses. The first course was little sandwiches including chicken salad on banana bread. It sounds weird, but it was delicious. Then we had two different kinds of scones followed by 2 different desserts and chocolate covered strawberries...DIVINE! There is something so sweet about sitting at a beautiful table wearing your dress, and sipping tea from a china cup while enjoying sweet conversation! It was definitely a great memory for me and my daughters! :)
