I had so much fun looking at everyones kitchens last week. Now it is on to the living room. I actually have 3 smaller living spaces. I like it that way because when we have company, it feels like there is room and space for everyone. Come on in my house:
First you enter through my foyer:
Then you are in my formal living area:

One of my favorite features of my living room is the heart of pine floors. They are very pretty, BUT they scratch quite easily. It is not exactly the best type of flooring to have when your son likes to roll his monster trucks across the floor! Ha!
Then we will look at the space where my kids hang out alot. Here in MS, we call it a keeping room, but I know it is also known as a hearth room in other places. Basically just an extension of my kitchen. My kids watch tv in here, play games, and love to hang out.
We have a bonus room upstairs that serves as our main "family" space. My kids love to watch movies, play the Wii, and have sleepovers. I will post pics of that soon! Thanks for stopping by! :)

you have excellent taste!
Try old english scratch cover to touch up knicks in your floors. It comes in a few colors choices and does wonders! I have 2 boys and a girl and also am a foster mom so I know what scratched furniture and floors look like!
Gorgeous! I love everything!

boys and their monster trucks :)
i love the "keeping room"
Very pretty! Love your colors, looks very cozy.
Your two rooms are stunning. I too love the heart of pine floors. I can imagine though how easily they would scratch. Ours are walnut and they scratch/dent fairly easily also. It drives my husband crazy. Me? I just try to tell myself it makes the wood look warm and broken in. You can pay a lot more for the "hand scraped" kind and have it come with all the scratches. We saved a little money and in a few years - ours will be "hand scraped"!!
Also, love your blog design background. I've been in the mood to change mine up...I might have to check out the cutest blog on the block.com again!

I love your house. The colors are so pretty.
Love your home. It's beautiful. Love the kitchen too. I'm gonna take your trip on the granite cleaner. I love Method products but haven't try the granite cleaner. I have 2 toddlers and my poor year and a half hardwoods are already scratched. The touch up pens for furniture also work on the floor. I use them and you can't even tell there was a scratch there.
Oh my goodness. Your LR is beautiful!! You have such great taste.
By the way....your kitchen was my absolute favorite. I actually showed the pics to my sister last week and told her that it was my dream kitchen. :)
